£150 inc vat is not gonna get you much of a good monitor. Look for one with a dot pitch of less than .26 and a 3 year warranty, on site if possible.
I love my Hitach CM715 though :D

I have learned that in monitors its better to pay more once and get a nice one that will last for years .I have a 19" Sony E430 and belive me it's worth the price, 500€, I think I won't need to buy another one for many years ,after all I realy don't want nothing bigger than this one .
But as always €€€ speaks louder and for that amount you awant to spend I think you won't be able to buy nothing nice ,I saw some for that price (200€ I think ,no?) and belive me they look like a fishbowl .....:D

check availability at your local "aldi" supermarket , i got a "medion " 19" from there about 3mths ago for £139 ,,
the monitor , although not having a "brand" name , definatly serpasses my 17" eizo ,,,,which cost a LOT more ,,,
good luck

The monitor is the last part of a computer to skimp on, owing as it's the bit you hook your eyes up to.
Sorry - you will not get a 19" that is worth using for £150.
I'd personally take a decent 17" monitor over a 19" cheapy any day.
If you're on a budget Monitor Warehouse (http://monitorwarehouse.co.uk/) are OK, I use a 17" Dell Trinitron from there on my desktop, and have sold several on.
