Okay, this is really wierd but I've never seen anything like this. I have a Dell Optiplex GX110 PIII 733 with onboard video (intel 810 graphics) and an Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 PCI card. I've been using the Nvidia card but I tried to load detonator drivers from Nvidia's site and it quit working. It would load to the boot screen and lock up there. I tried safe mode and it wouldn't boot. I booted successfully in VGA mode, removed the drivers from the device and uninstalled them completely. Same thing, wouldn't work. Did a repair install on Windows 2000 and still wouldn't work. Out of curiosity, I connected this to the onboard video after ~10 minutes of letting it sit on the splash screen and I was in windows!?! I switched back to the Nvidia card, and it was still stuck on the splash screen! Also, the bios for the card shows it to be 16mb, but HWinfo shows this as an 8mb card before loading the drivers. Now it shows it as a 32mb card !?! Any ideas?

if you got a boot screen then your card is'nt dead.....but the drivers say u have more ram then you thought.....drivers are fudged

I feel your pain. I am experiencing similar problems.

Although I did notice on Dell's site a lot of user complaining about issues with the Dell optiplex and nvidia. do a search on dell forum video in google and you should come up with some helpful info, (at least in theory)

Good luck.
