Just curious what choices you would make if you were gonna purchase an Intel MotherBoard. Right now it looks like the P4G8X for me, although PC2100 is a bit disappointing.

You mean "Intel-based board" because the P4G8X is an Asus Motherboard.

The P4G8X is a fine choice right now. Sure DDR2100 isn't the greatest, but it sure is a whole lot cheaper than RDRAM. And if you get matching pairs of DIMMs and use the dual-channel DDR support, watch out!

Thats true, however I am torn between building a AMD with an A7n8X, or the Intel P4G8X. I really like intel HyperThreading, but the A7N8X just plain rocks!. And apparently Sis is coming out with a new chipset that will support DD333. I dont think there are any boards out yet for it though.

Take a poke around www.asusboards.com and you'll get some pretty good opinions on both products.

Personally for me, I've chosen Intel because of the lower heat outputs. I don't have air conditioning and the bit of money I'd save buying AMD would quickly be exceeded by the cost of an air conditioner and electricity to run it.

all the way/unless you want a board with other features
Rock solid board
I recommend and have built several systems using this board including my own and am 100 % happy
