Scsiport(01) errror ????

When I hit a HP photo imaging icon, the screen goes to blue and tells me I have a SCSIPORT(01) +00000879 ERROR ........ How do I fix that?

Have you been to HP for updated drivers? What HP scanner?

That's usually some device not ready error but by some device I mean a disk .... I'm my usual confus-ed self & I can't fathom why just accessing the scanner does this - but here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q276253) is what I mean for reference/elimination if nothing else .....
