Too fast

Well, i just noticed my first 'weird' issue with my new laptop.

A few games ive tried, namely Quake 2 with and without all patches and unreal tournament, run about 2-3 times faster than they should making them unplayable, EXCEPT when playing a network game, UT then stutters and Q2 runs perfect.

Dell Inspiron 8200
P4-M 2.0
Radeon 9000


Tried every driver i could find for the radeon with no luck, also have all patches for both games.

A little update on this, the UT stuttering I have found seems to be a problem with the Intel speed step, if its turned off then it does not stutter, OR if something is running in the background that keeps the cpu running at max speed such as united devices www.grid.org will fix the stuttering... Now if I could just find out why the games run too damn fast
