Hi.

I have just changed my operating system from win98se to win2k Professional. My Canon LBP4i printer and win 2k aren't working together well, when told to print the printer shows the jam light.

If I change the drivers to the Generic text only drivers it prints though with none of the fancy fonts or images naturally. I really need it to perform correctly and was wondering if anyone could help.

Thanks

Canon-Australia has drivers for Win 3.11 only. (http://www.canon.com.au/products/printers/laser_printers_low_medium_volume/lbp4i_drivers.html)

You should be able to find the drivers already embedded with Win2000 via Add Printer Wizard. Select your manufacturer and then the model number.

Hope this helps out...Good Luck!

Thanks for the answer but I've done this. It's as though the drivers aren't working correctly.

You stated that when you use the drivers that came with Win2K that the "jam" light comes on.

I found this concerning paper size mismatch. (http://www.canon.com.au/support/customer/default.asp?DXI=KnowledgeBase/Customer/KBArticleForm&File=KB00111&productID=lbp4i) It tells you that "some common software applications may default to US Letter Paper size" instead of A4. It just might be what's causing your problems.

Jaxson you are an absolute marvel. That was exactly the problem. Thank you very much.;)
