which one is better? .21 or .25 & .27 monitor dot pitch? .21 is smaller right? so this is supposed to be better than .27, but how come higher end moels of monitor has .25/.27?

help!

Depends on what type of monitor you're looking at. With a shadow mask CRT, the pixels are round, and therefore there is only one dimension. With aperture grille (usually a trinitron monitor) the pixels are actually rectangular and therefore there are two dimensions for each pixel, width and height.

You can't just choose the best monitor by looking for the best dot pitch, it doesn't really work that way any more.

If you have a model or models in mind, why don't you tell us what they are, and other members here can share their opinions with you.

& you'll find that as long as you are comparing the same two measures, you can make a comparisson ... but I'd say there's other more important considerations when choosing a monitor.....
