Might want to check your game at http://www.ntcompatible.com/
They have a HUGE archive of what works with what.

You tried using windows 95 compatibility mode?

I don't think any 'compatibility' mode is gonna help, then again you might be 'lucky' (so for 2 extra mouse clicks have a go) ... you are running some 'install' routine that's 'hard coded' to check the file system ... if that call comes back as NTFS not FAT or FAT32 the install will return an error & stop ....

You could try installing on a FAT32 partition, or try & fathom some 'mannual' install instructions ... mind something designed to use one windows API (application programming interface) will depend on that versions system calls & methods (which mighn't be there in another version) ... so even if you actually get it installed it prolly still won't go ...

If you really, really want it to work you might have to consider 'dual boot' (have two operating systems) ... many, many 'gamers' have their systems set up this way so they can play their 'old' favourites ! :)
