I have just got a microsoft wheel mouse and although the automatic scroll when you press the wheel works, just turning the wheel without pressing it does nothing. So it is not possible to manually scroll through wordprocessor documents. I have windows95 4.0.

You need to load the intellimouse drivers that should have come with your mouse.

have you IE5 installed????

If you do then I have got the same prob, I have to press the button down first then release it to scroll manually.

I notive that you are a freeserve user. I have had a couple of systems come into my place of business with similar problems which only happened when the customer installed the freeserve software. My advice would be to change to one of the other free services if you don't want to pay for internet access.
