After doing a firmware update to all of our HP printers, our HP DeskJet 2600 printers are getting a 6404 Firmware Error.

We cant get into the menu of the printer when it has the network card in it...

We can get into the menu of the printer when the network card is out...

ANY HELP? - Or do I now have a bunch of paperweights until I buy new HP JetDirect Cards?

thanks for info, but for the third time calling HP support I finally got a qualified person on the line...

he said that there has been occurances that if you leave the default settings for the timeouts for the JetAdmin Updater that the 610 and 615 JetDirect cards sometimes timeout in the middle of the update which causes it to fail...just like you said in your first link....You need to push the timeouts up to 20,000 to prevent issues from happening

Results...printers are still under 1 year old and they are sending us new JetDirect cards....WooHoo!!!!
