i found a maxtor 160 gb drive at fry's for 119 with a 40 rebate. that makes it 79 dollars. 50 cents a gig! you can get it at outpost.com also, but its $10 more. its the boxed retail version. i think its a good deal....

also, 2 user license version of norton antivirus pro 2003 can be had for free at officemax with upgrade verification for free. its 69 with a 30 upgrade rebate and a 40 mail in rebate. its going to be last year's model soon, but the new version has product activation, so i'll take this version for free......its in store also, don't see it on their website.

I would stay away from Maxtor. You get what you pay for.

Just my .02¢

ya,sounds like a great deal,I like Fry's and I also have 2 30gig maxtor diamondmax's in my kids boxes and they run great and very quiet.
and hell! I've got an ancient Maxtor 10gig that I have had running troublefree for years in my printer server,I got it when I got the Celeron 333a slot1 thats running it,NEW!when that was cutting edge.

great drives IMO.

and also,I bought Norton System works 2003/ghost 2003/NAV 2003
here,with a lisence (http://www.stores.ebay.com/superbuypc/plistings/list/all/dept0/page2.html?col=2&dir=-1) for $7,and it works great.
