I have to look at this machine tomorrow - customers problem. 'while on internet email program ie yahoo , i type a sentence which takes ages to appear on the screen.' what is causing this. !
would anybody hazard a quess.

If you haven't looked at it then who knows... but I'd maybe suggest cleaning up his system. Look for ad/spy poop (I had one Save.exe ad program using 26mb of memory yesterday, and it cause problems with WinXP not outputting to TV correctly.), clean up startup stuff, etc. It could be he has 32mb of RAM with like 30 processes going.
Also, could be some type of virus? I noticed Blaster slows down machines internet capability sometimes. Try that?
