My dvd drives are gone!!! help pls!

Hi there, please someone help me, I was installing the Music CD Studio, but the installation crashed, then I rebooted and a weird program told me my winaspi (I think) and pxengine files were corrupted, and if I wanted to delete them. Sadly I did so, and now my two dvd drivers are gone!!!! can anyone help, I don't know what to do. I managed to download the pxengine update, but the drivers still don't show.

Help pls TIA!!!!!

first download and install this (http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.html?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=%2fOperating+System%2fMicrosoft+Windows+XP&filekey=aspi_471a2.exe)

If it's XP or 2k check device manager, do the dvd drives appear but with ! against them? If so, you need to do this next (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314060)

If it's 9x/Me post what the device manager sees under cdroms.
