We have Symantec Corp Edition on all our computers. We are using Novell servers with the norton update server loaded onto it.
We installed Norton client on a Windows 98 workstation, set it to use the local server in the building to get AV def updates then used Altiris to broadcast the hard disk to all the other workstation of the same model in the building. Clients do get updates from the local server so everything works that way.
Okay, here is the problem. When we look in Symantec System Control Center at the server, the only computer registered is the original one that we setup then pushed out the hard disk image. The computers in the whole building are getting updates from the local server they are just not registered as doing so. Is there a way to force a register? The only way we found out is to uninstall and reinstall on every station and I don't look forwad to doing that on a few hundred stations.
