I am working on an IBM Aptiva model 2140-L61 with 96MB of RAM. I have just upgraded it from Win95 to Win98 and need to upgrade the driver for the Bose audio amplifier card, but have not been able to find one. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is my first post to Windrivers and I hope someone can save me some time.
Thanks,

Welcome to Windrivers Mcfar2!
Most 95 drivers work fine in 98 - what problem are you having?

Here is more info. The system is a PII 266MHz with 96MB ram and 6.4GB HDD. I did a fresh install of Win98. When the computer boots up it brings up a window saying "New Hardware Found". It says the hardware is a PCI Multimedia Audio Device. I have installed all the drivers for the Crystal sound system, the modem, and the gameport joystick. I went to IBM's website and found info on the Bose audio amplifier card, but no drivers. If I disconnect this card from the computer, I don't get the "New Hardware Found" message, so I am assuming that I am missing a driver for this audio card, but I have not been able to find one. I don't see Bose listed on Windrivers or any other site that I have looked at. Is there a generic driver that will work, or is this card actually made by someone else? Do you know where I can find this driver?
Thank you for your reply

I just ran this utility and the card matches what the utility found. It is a Tier 1 card. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

NooNoo,
I figured it out. It was a Crystal sound driver that I was missing. I am getting educated on drivers and what a pain they can be to find. Thank you for your help! Have a great day.
