Who will be first to figure out why its my favorite number? gazzak December 6th, 2003, 03:17 AM OK, a google search revealed nothing! Looking at the numbers reveals no date formats except 1845 which is a bit too far in the past to mean much. It can't be security related or you wouldn't be posting it, nor a phone number for the same reason. I tried it upside down in a calculator incase it read BOOBIES or something like that, alas no such luck. So my guess would be that it's money related, either a winning lottery number/s or a serial number on a banknote, (a big banknote), or a reference number on a large insurance payout!! FatalException0E December 6th, 2003, 12:41 PM Gazzak, you were so close......... At least do a little research before trying to make a joke in bad taste.Ouch!!! And I think I know what was said. I have a little bird, an Australian Cockatiel (I have eight of them!!), and she is deformed. The mum and dad abandoned her at birth and I have raised her ever since. She is now four months old and I still have to hand feed her. She can't fly and she hobbles when she walks: splayed feet. She can't perch either. She is a floor bird: a mouse with wings. And I sooo love her. A old friend visited today and asked why I don't put her down. I asked if he would do the same to an autistic or polio inflicted or http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/eek3.gif a retarded child. He said that it was not the same. I said that it almost was. This bird will live only a few years and well never fly and will be a perpetual baby, but it WILL be loved!!!! silencio December 6th, 2003, 09:36 PM Sorry, I guess I'm not smart enough to be ***** :D edited by NooNoo the word you wanted is autistic. At least do a little research before trying to make a joke in bad taste. Speaking of autism, did anyone see the dateline or 20/20 show on autistic musicians? Man, that is some weird ****. They can play everything from Mozart to Chopsticks and every variation between but can't tell you what day it is... Phenominal. We've had some drunken conversations about this and came up with the theory that your brain could be a radio tuning in different signals from (possibly subatomic) source. The source being the source of all inspiration and the whole of creativity. It's pretty metaphysical but you get metaphysical after a handfull of jaeger shots. Anyway, if these peoples brains are short circuited into constantly recieving a single signal from the meta world it would explain why the rest of their consciousness is obliterated; the human mind being only capable of understanding just so much of the world at any one time. The neighbors let him run free. One of my beagles ran through the electric fence (something they don't do unless an animal comes on the property) and was hit by a car. The cat thing started as a joke but it's taken on a more serious note this fall. TripleRLtd December 6th, 2003, 09:57 PM I actually have a local cat that I'd like to see impaled. My heart has broken almost as many times with them as.....well, you know. silencio December 6th, 2003, 10:09 PM He's actually doing pretty good. They had to put two plates and i think it was 6 screws into his hips in 3 different places. They cut the ball off the top of his left leg because it was crushed. The ball socket was also crushed so they took a piece of muscle from his *** and put it over the leg bone to act as a cushon for the joint. He's running around now almost as good as new and just started jumping up on the bed this week. I'm pretty amazed. It wasn't cheap but I had to do it. From the time we got him he's always followed me everywhere and lays right in front of my feet wherever I am. It's like you said; sometimes you can be as close to them as kids. It's nice to make a difference even if it seems like a small one...Thanks guys. The poor bird. During the night my other birds had a night fright and flew off. The baby, sitting on the top of the cage ended up in a water bowl and couldn't get out. When I woke in the morning, I fetched all the birds and put then back (they are free birds...and my house proves ithttp://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/sad2.gif) I took her out and dried her off and held her till she settled. An hour later I put her back on top and she started eating some seeds, so I though all was alright. Early in the afternoon I prepared her feeding and she was all stiff but still breathing. I took her in my hands and she woudn't move but she "peeped" at me. She died in my hands five minutes later while I was crying like a baby. All afternoon...and I cancelled working...I regretted not warming her up further and making sure she was alright. Geez, the regret and the feeling that you could have done more!!! I feel like crap now, and all day as well. In fact, I spent the whole afternoon online in the forum trying to keep my mind off of this. Gosh, it hurts sooo much. The other birds were quiet all afternoon, too. They heard my cry and knew something was wrong. But damn, do they forget fast. Sometimes, this world makes you wish you were a bird, flying free with no worries other than...
