Everyone know's how weather can effect one's mood and health.
Geez, doesn't Sweden's health care program pay for Med vacations in the dark days of winter for the seriously afllicted?
Well, this week has been lousy: cloudy with no sun and especially cold at night lately where I live.
In fact, I was going to ride my Bike yesterday down to Fort Myers, but it rained, so I scrapped that idea.
Anywho, check my lousy weather forecast for the next five days and compare it to yours:

I went out this morning to continue installing the new pool I brought for the kids. The side walls are made from tin and the sun beating down made it too hot to touch by about 7.30am this morning. So I gave up and sat on the puter. Will continue with the pool in the arvo when that area is in shade.

The last few days we've had the lowest temps of the winter....its actually dipping down below freezing at night. That'll stop, though. We're supposed to head back up to 70/50 or so.

Damn Riddel, where do you live, the Carrib?
I actually started this to make light of the "cold weather" here in Florida lately and make all those yanks and Canadians drool (no Major, not Moose Drool> do they bottle that stuff up thar?).
BTW, I am golfing today and one partner cancelled due to the "cold".
I used to call him Super Bob.

I am having a hard time connecting the thought "cold" with temps in the 60's-80's in December.

"Does not comupte WIll Robinson"

Actually a bit further away than that. I live in the tropical North of Australia. Probably about the same latitude as Florida though so we would get the same kind of weather. Dry and mild in the winter (or dry season as we call it.) and then hot humid and rainy in the summer or (wet season) although we often call it the "sweat" season.

As I type this its 10.30pm and still 82f outside. I have the aircon on and am watching a movie "Mystery Alaska" on TV.
All that snow looks fantastic.

I didn't think that it would get cold enough in Florida to pull out of a golf game.....Whats wrong with the man??

Brass monkeys here.

The only time me or my golfing mates pull out of a game is if the course is closed. NO OTHER REASON is good enough :guns:

It's a big state from north to south. Every winter at least once since I've been here in SW Florida (which seems more like your type weather) it gets down in the high twenties and we get frost.
That is when the orange groves and palm groves have to hire helicopters to perch over the groves blowing cold air down.
Hell of a racket when you're trying to sleep at night. Oh, the price we pay for living in paradise.http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/smile.gifhttp://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/smile.gifhttp://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

No doubt, we had our weekend of winter as well. Guess the rest of the "winter" will be hella nice.

We had 5" of snow on Friday, then an additional 7 " on Saturday. That's the storm that went onto the upper East Coast and dumped alot more snow (some areas got 2 feet). Temps were really cold. Today, we are going to be in the 40s.

Well, after several days of temperatures hovering in the -20F range, it has warmed up to -3F. It could be a really cold winter, as we had -40F for Thanksgiving.

The tough part is the dark, as we are down to about 4 hours of daylight.

This is the time of year when John Q. Public goes inside and screws up his computer.

I'm still clinging to the notion that Florida is supposed to be warm, I went out on Saturday night in shorts and a t shirt. Did I freeze my :butt: off? You bet I did, but its the principle, I moved here for the warm weather and I'm bloody well going to be summery all year round. Besides, any time I need to warm up I can go and listen to our local council bitch and moan at each other. :D
