is the INTEL 82801 CA/CAM usb controller as used in the tosh 3000 series (attallite) USB 1.1 or 2.0 ,,,

i,ve asked this question before , but strugged for a diffinitive answer.

the reason i ask , is someone pointed out that the origional USB spec was for ONLY 2 usb ports ,,,,,and later usb 2.0 could handle multiple ,,,

this tosh has 3 usb ports , and is listed 3 times in sys properties

cheers

From Toshiba's Technical Support: Does my Toshiba PC have USB 2.0? How to tell. (http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_dtlView.jsp?soid=380576&ref=AI&ct=SB&moid=130784&IL=EN&QS=usb&OS=&CN=10&BV_SessionID=@@@@0451667522.1075522769@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccjadckihidifecgfkceghdgngdglk.0&ProductMenu_1=Satellite&ProductMenu_2=3000-S304%7c130784&ST=1&SortOrder=LT_WEIGHT&awhit=3)
From the Device Manager window, expand the branch labeled "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". If you see an entry for "USB 2.0 Root Hub". your Toshiba PC is definitely equipped with USB 2.0 capability. If you don't see an entry for "USB 2.0 Root Hub", it's quite likely that your Toshiba PC is equipped with USB 1.1 capability.
