Improper Shutdown Error.

Had a client call me that their ME runs Scandisk on everysingle boot. From everything she's told me, the appears to shutdown normally. But everytime she reboots, there's scandisk. Wasn't there an option somewhere in ME that tells the computer to run scandisk on every boot?
