Ya_know February 17th, 2004, 01:25 PM The short answer is NO. There are some devices out there that had support for NT, but they were very specific to the device, and very rare. So again, the short answer is NO. :p NooNoo February 17th, 2004, 01:25 PM Nope Shard92 February 17th, 2004, 01:38 PM not even with a service pack huh? What about an xp upgrade? Is Nt eligible for an XP pro upgrade? reading the xp home upgrade doesn't sound like it, is that correct? Shard92 February 17th, 2004, 02:08 PM Just in case anyone is interested I did find this... http://www.bsquare.com/products/usbwin40/default.asp Ya_know February 17th, 2004, 02:25 PM Just in case anyone is interested I did find this... http://www.bsquare.com/products/usbwin40/default.asp Seems those have come down in price. A few years ago they were like 60 or 70 dollars. Replacing the operating system seemed more appropriate. Even at $40, for an eight + year old OS...doesn't seem right anymore. Shard92 February 17th, 2004, 02:32 PM Yeah I know but if you have one of those die hard companies that just doesn't want to give up their old os and still need usb..... In this case the customer has a projector for power point apps and wants to use the wireless mouse that comes with it but it's reciever is usb.... He has to talk to corporate before he can do anything so we just gave him his options... Ya_know February 17th, 2004, 02:45 PM Good call! A solution is a solution... ironwill99 February 18th, 2004, 08:45 AM Yeah I know but if you have one of those die hard companies that just doesn't want to give up their old os and still need usb..... He has to talk to corporate before he can do anything so we just gave him his options... Out of curiosity, wouldn't a USB to PS2 or USB to serial adapter work in this situation? You could try to get the reciever to work that way for a lot less $. Just my 2 cents. Shard92 February 18th, 2004, 09:44 AM One more reason we didn't do anything other than look at it.. He already had an adaptor just not with him.... he was going to try that.... course he doesn't care much either way as long as it works, after all the company will be paying for anything he needs done!! windrivers.com
