Hey folks. I'm in a bind on a network I need to find a packet sniffing program and I would like to find either a freebie or very inexpensive one for a network that has about 35 systems on it. Anyone have any reccomendations? TIA.

Nmap (http://www.insecure.org/nmap/), as featured in Matrix Reloaded (http://www.insecure.org/nmap/nmap_inthenews.html).
Here's (http://netsecurity.about.com/cs/hackertools/a/aafreeportscan.htm) a few more.

I don't know if I'd recommend Cain & Abel anymore...
I like it as a tool, and TechTV did a grat feature on it, but my AV found a trojan on my laptop after installing it (TROJ_CAINABEL.25).
Which one did you go for, nunob?

The "server" component in Abel most likely. NAV Corporate doesn't consider it trojan, unlike BackOriffice 2000.
