I am unable to do a system restore (Windows XP). I also cannot access my Hotmail log in screen, both screens are blank. I get the same thing when I attempt to see my user profiles from the control panel.
I have cleaned out (I think) all viruses using Stinger and Trend Micro and I have cleaned the system (also under safe mode) with Spysweeper.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
CH

Welcome to windorvers Challam
First get spybot its probably the best one out there for spyware
Second backcheck Trend with another like Panda as they sometimes find things the other missed.

hat appears to indicate that you did have a virus?
If so which one?
Because although you can remove some viruses did you fix the damage done by it?

Thanks, I appreciate your help. I just went to the Panda website but wouldn't you know it, I fill out the page to download the trial virus checker and when I hit send nothing happens! I couldn't even activate the free online check!

When I try to run the program is tells me I need to have Explorer 5 or higher (I do) and/or Active X and scripting active. My Active X controls are all enabled but when I try to get to the Symantec page telling me how to enable scripting it shows the page is no longer there!!
