Am using Win98SE. After booting, the harddrive keeps running and won't stop.

Do you mean you hear it constantly spinning? Does it make a louder noise than usual? Do you have antivirus? Do you have any indexing programs? Got the error "no valid FAT 32 partitions found". Corrected that, and the harddrive quit running constantly.
