What can I do? hudsonsmith April 20th, 2004, 09:39 AM Does your dvd-rom read commercial dvds? Do you have another dvd player that is able to read the dvds you burned? If the answer to both is yes, I would try experimenting with different brands of media. Ferrit April 20th, 2004, 09:56 AM what kinda dvdrom is it? sourced April 21st, 2004, 07:28 PM Yes my dvd-rom reads commercial dvds. I burn dvds with for back up reasons, but when I go to view the files I can`t. It reads "please insert disk". hudsonsmith April 22nd, 2004, 09:20 AM Let's try this again. 1) Do you have another dvd player that is able to read the dvds you burned? For example, can your dvd burner read the disks. 2) Have you tried another brand of media? 3) What is the make and model of the dvd rom drive? 4) What dvd software (powerdvd, etc.) do you have installed. sourced April 23rd, 2004, 12:03 AM Yes my dvd burner can read the dvds I burn. sourced April 23rd, 2004, 12:11 AM Yes my dvd burner can read the dvds I burn. No I have not tried a diffrent kind of media. I don`t know the make and model, I have`nt checked to see if its marked on the drive itself. I have Powerdvd and Windvd installed. Both drives read commercial dvds, but viewing files useing explorer has proved to be difficult. NooNoo April 23rd, 2004, 04:26 AM We need the following information to help further. Is it DVD-RW or DVD+RW instead of DVD-R or DVD+R? And what type of burning software are you using? windrivers.com
