[RESOLVED] USR OEM Modem with slow connection

I have an OEM (model 2974) PCI 56K modem from USRobotics. I have the correct drivers for this equipment in my computer, and it seems to be functioning correctly.

My question is about its performance. The modem doesn't reach more than 37333 bps (its more frequent rate is 33333).

I was thinking that my phone line could be the problem, but I have a Compaq notebook with a internal 56k modem that reaches up to 50kbps on the same line, using the same provider.

Can someone help me to discover if there's some kind of configuration that could help to improve its connection rate?
