[RESOLVED] LT Win modem driver conflicts with game drivers?

I need serious help, please. Recently, my brother downloaded TombRaider 3 demo, and ever since he has done that, his modem will NOT work. And windows keeps trying to install the modem in com 2. I have tried uninstalling it, and even installing the new 544 driver for it. A tech told me that it could be that the demo installed a driver that conflicts with this..is this possible? This should read "Game driver conflicts with my modem driver."
Go into BIOS, disable com 2 on the motherboard, and install the modem on com 2 like it wants to. All should be well.
