I've seen the similar problem addressed in this forum, so I thought I'd ask for some input.

I recently reloaded Win98 to my pc, and now am unable to change the resolution settings on the monitor (slider bar is "stuck" at 640x480). I contacted Dell with problem and gave them the "service tag number" and they came back with a driver download that didnt work. It was for a "Nividia TNT....... and when I attempted to load it I received the message that it was the incorrect driver.

My original invoice and what comes up during pc "start-up" both indicate that I have a 16MB 3DFX Voodoo 3000D AGP graphics card. The Dell site shows a driver download for that. Should I simply download that driver and re-install?

Thanks in advance,

Hank

Welcome to Windrivers Hank,

Yup!

If that's what the splash screen says on start up then that is the video card you've got.

Download the driver, unzip it to a folder and install - all should then be well.

Good Luck

Yes reload the drivers. There are more VooDoo drivers here (http://www.3dfx.com/).

IMHO, you're better off with the Voodoo card than the TNT one.
