help. I have a modem made by ACER who offfer no modem support on thier site. IT's a 1997 K56 flex, chip number RCVDL56ACF/SP R6761-21.
I downloded a supposed driver call 6761.zip and this included a flash utility to conver to v90. I tired this and it worked, but the only drivers in the file were for 33K models!

I now need a rockwell v90 driver or if ti will still work the K56 driver.

PS - anyone iterpret all the numbers on the chip? what do they all mean?

anyone with a driver please forward it to me

grateful thanks

My modem isn't listed on the ACER site, although the FCC code identifies it as an acer.

I've been trying for a few weeks now to find the correct driver.

Is there any way of using a generic driver or altering the init strings?

OK, let me get this through to everyone.
Acer is the company of note. They are officially AopenUSA, so anyone with an ACER modem, go to the AOPEN website mentioned above, and get your stuff!
