hdtv drivers

can anyone tell me where to get drivers for a RCA HDTV 52" so i can use my dvi cable? i have a video card that has dvi connect and the tv has dvi connect, but when i hook it up all i get is 640 res. can't change res. my video card is reading my rca monitor as plug and play. i need drivers for the mointor. i hope i am being clear.any help would be appreciated. mastercool9

I don't believe the issue is with the tv drivers (wich by the way, don't exist as far as i can see)

What we would realy need to know is what video card you are using, and if you are using the proper cable to connect them.

i am using ati 9600xt card and i have a proper dvi cable. it is running from dvi outlet on card to dvi conn on tv. and yes i am putting tv on dvi thanks for your reply. any more ideas? mastercool9

from what i can see, that card should work with most HDTV's.. is your tv set to the proper res? like 1080i?

that is what is wrong. the tv will not let me change res. when it comes up it is on 640 and i can not change res. the change bar is locked on 640. in regular tv mode using serial cable and rca yellow cable i am able to change res. but when using dvi cable i cannot. weird huh? ideas?

have you tried changing the res on the computer?

yes, my computer will only go down to 800x600. i tried that. the tv looks great on dvi at 640 but none of my games will run at that res. the only one i have that will run is 4x4 evo and that is because it is set at 640. looks great. but can not change res. when i try game locks up. thanks for trying to help. if you think of anything or hear anything that might help let me know. thanks again
