For me, this one has draw written all over it.
2-2
and the first match to go to penalties. Maybe I should score extra if it does

What do you mean 'extra time does not count' ? It bloody well does :butt:
If you'll excuse the insult, that's damn silly Gary :p
Anyway while you consider that thought..
I predict that Holland have now woken up so I reckon
Sweeden 1 Holland 2

I'll go with 1-1 aet, Sweden to win on penalties in a shock result that has the Dutch the world over reaching for their water bongs while the Swedes go and celebrate in their saunas.

Any predictions given will be taken for 90 minutes only.
It's the only way to do this fairly. It will stop any arguments if someone predicts 1-1 and it's 0-0 at 90 minutes but 1-1 after extra time, and someone else predicts 0-0. I have seen this problem arise in a competition like this before, so it has been stated clearly now in each thread.
Sorry guys but it's the only way to be fair. Consider extra time a freebie!

OK OK you win, I'm going to have a poll to decide the outcome. I will post it in about 10 minutes when I've had a nice cuppa and a chance to put the poll together properly. Now stop nagging ;)

I keep changing my mind on this one. Should be a good game though, very closely matched sides. After the last 2 Q/F's I'm taking nothing for granted!
You've just got to love this tournament, it's the dogs b*****ks, just a shame we're out!

Yeah, after coming back from my "mild depression", I am into it again. Hey Titchski! Are you ordering any more matches?
It sucks being in America right now. I guess for the World Cup, I'll just have to shell out the $200 for the whole tourney.

Yeah, good point. I wont now hough because the match is taking place and if by some miracle I get the score correct I'll be accused of cheating! I'll quietly edit it later tomorrow!!

Damn G: what happened to all the firepower here? 0-0 draw into xtra time? Are they all playing scared now: obviously I can't tell via text updates from the BBC.
Geesh: I am going to have reconsider my predictions from now on....

You're half right. Sweden played for the draw, Holland went for it and should have won it over 90 minutes. Both had chances in extra time to bag the win.
You know what hurt during the game? One of the commentators said near the end that he'd still not seen any team good enough to take England out of the competition. Ouch.
Penalty win to Holland, (who lost the last 4 they played), and deservedly so.
Currently working on the league table, should be published by 11pm our time, (ie the correct time)!

Hey Trip, what're you doing for the 4th? I think I might get the final, invite the ex-pats round and cook some food, oh, and drink that homebrew thats still in the fridge. And don't even think about paying for the World Cup - they have the games on Fox Sportsworld - which I get for free. Oh, and its only two bloody months till the Premier League starts, which again, I get for free and which I'll also expect you round for on Saturday & Sunday & Monday afternoons. Can't you watch baseball or something to tide you over? :p :thumbs2:
Wow, yeah AngryTech does seem to be pulling away a bit Gaz, hmm, if I get 4th do I qualify for the UEFA Cup Fantasy league? :D

Good idea, I feel more competitions coming soon. Maybe a selected game every week from the Premier league for a table running all season?

Doesn't the Torygraph run a fantasy league type thing? Or the Sun for that matter, I'll look into it a bit.
Alternatively, we could run a "who are Chelsea going to sign this week" league :D

I loved it!!! What rag was that? The TatlleTale?
<LI>ANGRY Meier threatened to sue The Sun last night after we published his website’s address — www.ursmeier.ch (http://www.ursmeier.ch/) and it crashed under a tidal wave of messages from England fans.
We got our own back on the Swiss twit yesterday when reporter Neil Syson showed him the red card in the lobby of his hotel in Portugal. Our man told him: “This is from The Sun’s 10 million readers, a straight red.” Meier turned on his heels and refused to speak.
The guy seems a bit vain, wouldn't you say?
And Titchski: I'll be there for the final, so count me in.http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/thumbs.gif
