How could I schedule it so my computer will automatically shut down at a certain time?

There are a number of "shutdown" programmes available, some free, some shareware, some commercial. Some have their own inbuilt schedulers. Or you could run a programme at a scheduled time using Task Scheduler.

Run a web search for shutdown utilities, take your pick.

Good luck
