Hey guys, I hope someone here can help me out.

I am having a problem opening up MY computer, I suspect some form of malware. When I open it up, it freezes and the entire window is GRAY. I can't see any of the drives. After I close it, a Windows error pops up telling me to end the program. As soon as I do, my taskbar disappears and then reloads itself, leading me to believe that it might have something to do with Explorer.exe, is that right?

I have tried running Spybot, Spysweeper, Ad-Aware, Bazooka Spyware, and I have my Norton Antivirus, Norton Internet Security, and the Norton Firewall up. Any ideas? Maybe another spyware program/trojan program? I downloaded Hijack this and here is the report. Hopefully one of you can take a look and see what's wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated :

Welcome to windrivers studious79. Go into Task Manager and kill this process: C:\WINXP\System32\lgebzk.exe , then delete the file.

Then use Hijack to kill these:

Thanks to you two guys for replying promptly and efficiently.....

As soon as I took your advice everything was fine. I hope that Lgebzk.exe goes away as I have never seen it before and found NOTHING under it in Google.

Thanks again!!!

You're welcome. As long as you deleted the actual file in addition to killing the registry entry, you should be ok.

Hi there,

Your computer is a goner. My brother have the same problem, the crapware keep coming back, redownloading itself on every bootup. All the Anti-ware software can't remove it, even the anti-virus can't do it either. Backup as much as you can (doc files, MP3, images), format and reinstall.

You need to kill this stuff manually - software won't do it. Identify the files using HijackThis, boot into safe mode, kill the registry entries, and track down and delete the files themselves. You need to do this with system restore disabled and the computer disconnected from the internet. If its coming back then you're not deleting the right file. See this thread for more details: http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?t=57348
