C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII\CMESys.exe

You have a gator family spyware set
go here and read and download spybot (http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?t=57348) make sure you update it online before running the scan.

It should get it for you.

In addition to deleting the registry entries on hijack, did you delete the files from your hard drive? If you don't, the problem will come back.

I just checked the link - works fine for me.

Can you post the exact text of the runtime error you are receiving?

I googled the error and came up with a number of hits specific to bpm studio. Unfortunately, they are all in german or spanish. Anyone fluent enough to translate?

From what i could gather from the translations , bpm thinks its a ilegal install , and you need to uninstall it completely (including Registery entry's) and reinstall it .

Is this the trialware or the full version?

Do you have and amd processor?
some error messages and program terminations with AMD processors?
These problems are caused by the external processor cache. Please disable the external cache in the BIOS settings if the program runs unstable.

how about an asus motherboard?

Why does my ASUS motherboard not work with BPM Studio ?
Check if the jumper "sound on board" is deactivated. See the motherboard's manual for the position of the jumper.

all i did was put the xp pro disc in and used that to do a long format and then reinstalled windows i then put bpm back on there and now it wont let me save the settings and im getting an I/O error, looked on bpm website and it says that the demo version wont let you save the settings, but the strange thing is that it worked fine before i got the worm ,and this is even stranger as this is version 4.2 and i also have bpm studio version 3.0 and that is working fine on it saving the settings the lot nothing wrong with that! so if any one knows why that is happening let me know.
Thanks again guys for you help

So shouldn't you be addressing these problems with BPM support?

As for your email problem - I believe that to be a profile corruption of sorts. try this (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;318378)

Sounds like you have got yourself reinfected from somewhere.

because it can't

If the file is in use, you have to stop the file being used before it can be deleted.

Sorry, I posted most of this before I saw the 2nd page, I edited out some of the stuff No noo already covered. I don't think it's a problem with the cache because it worked before. I'm assuming you haven't changed the bios settings when he reinstalled.

In my opinion it's not a problem with the program you are installing, or related to the spyware that you removed before you reformatted. If it was the program itself it wouldn't work fine on the desktop. By reformatting and reinstalling you removed whatever spyware you had. I'm assuming you didn't put anything back on the computer that would give you these headaches again. So, I'm guessing it's a configuration problem with your laptop.
The first place I'd look is in the device manager. Look for the obvious exclamation marks or question marks. If there are any then get the drivers installed correctly, or get the setting correctly set. If there are no obvious things jumping out at you, then I'd go to the website for your laptop. (www.toshiba.com for toshiba, www.dell.com for dell etc)

Look for a download section of updated drivers. If your laptop was not originally created for XP, then you may not have drivers for all the devices on your laptop. I'd look specifically for Audio devices and Codecs.

You should be able to go to programs>accessories>system tools> system information. If you could list off the system summary and possibly the components>sound device info, It'd go a long way towards helping me troubleshoot.

it is the full version like i said ive got the serial no and also the very same program has been working fine for two years plus, absoutley nothing wrong with it, like i said before now im getting these errors nothing has changed its the same program the same disc the same serial no but i got that worm and something from the gator family as above i couldnt get rid so i formmated and started again, and now i cant save the settings and im getting this I/O error coming up i looked on the bpm website it says nothing about I/O error and also one last thing this is all happening on my labtop and get this the very same program works perfect on my desktop computer nothing different the same serial no the same disc etc so if any of you guys can sort this one out because i am stuck! and while im here in my emails (outlook express 6) when i try to reply to and email it wont let me send but if i put the senders address in my address book and then send a email it works? i have phoned up a help line they cant work it out all my settings are correct and it happens on both my laptop and desktop and they say theres nothing wrong at there end?? so if anyone gets the same problem as me and know whats wrong with that let us know as it been doing it for mouths
