Hi,

After i dial up and get connected, i click on my IE6.0.
Wheni try to borwse to any page, it stated that the page cannot be found.
I try to ping website like yahoo and altavista and google and t can reply.
i scan my system with norton and Mcafee updated to the latest defination files and i even startup computer with safe mode and scan it and it says that my pc is not infected.
They found virus and i delete it immediate delete it.
but still i cannot browse anything.
Anit-virus keep on detcting new virus when connecting.
i suspect my virus has already invaded my registry that make the virus came back after cleaning it and it just won't allow me to suft net.
Is there anyone face the same issue like em and has a solution to it.

There are actually many viruses that take advantage of vulnerabilities in Windows to spread. Two of the most famous are Blaster and Sasser. Click on the links below to get more information about them.

Blaster/Lovsan : http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=100547

Sasser : http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=125007

Besides scanning your computer, you have to apply the Microsoft patches mentioned in the Removal Instructions. Only then will the infections stop. Otherwise, everytime you connect to the Internet, you will get infected.

Sounds like a DNS problem. Check that the TCP/IP settings for your dial up connection match those required by your ISP. If that's not the problem, you may need to reinstall the TCP/IP stack. Go into network properties and uninstall TCP/IP. Then reinstall it. You may need your windows cd.
