I recently received the printer model in the subject line from a relative.
I installed it in Windows XP <service pack 1> when i got it. I dont remember if i used the windows XP specific driver or not however.
Now it seems that the printer has stopped working, I tried to uninstall all of the drivers and software associated with the printer but was unable to remove it from the PC entirely, thus creating a problem when i try to reinstall the software from scratch.

I think i need to wipe the registry of all traces before i can attempt to reinstall the software.
I am not very good with registry entries and am somewhat tentative to try it alone, if anyone could help me out i would be very appreciative.

You will want to read up on Officejet T Series All-in-One - Manual Software Uninstall (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?product=60036&lang=en&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=bpu02565)

Once you get that taken care of, then check out Installing the HP Officejet 700 and T Series in Microsoft(R) Windows XP (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?product=60036&softwareitem=oj455en&os=228&lang=en&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&docname=bpu01852)

It also talks about how to set the computer parallel port to ECP mode.

You can also find your manuals here. (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?product=60036&softwareitem=oj455en&lang=en&os=228&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=bpu01852&)

Lots of good info there and steps to follow but you can do it. I've got faith!
