Hey, I have a GeForce MX400 AGP and an ATI All-In-Wonder PCI. I am trying to get them to work in unison, using two monitors, the extended desktop setting. Both cards are installed fine, no driver conflicts that I can see. But when I try using the Secondary display (All-In-Wonder) to exend the desktop the screen freezes and my machine locks up. It restarts without trouble but hasn't saved the setting. I've repeated this about five times with no luck. Any ideas? I'd appreciate any help.

It's an All In Wonder PCI Pro, with a Rage Pro 3d. I think it was the last all in wonder to be coupled with a Rage chipset. I picked it up in the spring of 2000, I think. It's seated in the first PCI slot on my mobo.

Is it possible (and/or desirable) to switch around some settings so that I could use the GeForce 2 as a secondary display and the All-In-Wonder as a primary? I think I have a setting in my BIOS that allows me to select either PCI or AGP as the primary video device. Any suggestions?

Ok, the answer is yes. You can. It looks like the GeForce 2 is also working some magic and switching to primary graphics adapter AFTER windows starts to get around the initialization problem with the Rage Pro. I'm not sure, but I strongly suspect.
