So which side do I root for? That Arafats forces regain dominance because he is a "moderate"? Or those fed up with the Palestinian Authorities corruption despite the fact that they are basically led by an even worse terrorist organization than Arafats?
Or should I hope they just kill each other?
One observation. The Wall the Israelis are building seems to be showing the Palestinians they will have their own country. Not the one they wanted but at least they will have one. Maybe now they will focus on how best to govern instead of how best to kill Israelis?

Interesting that a communist country (China) thinks that building a wall like that is 'inhumane'. It's not like their trying to keep out Mongolians or West Berliners...hmmm.

I say, let the Israelis build a wall... they deserve it, considering all the abuse they've taken from the Palestinians. It was even announced when they were building the wall that if things changed they could take it down, but they want the protection. There is nothing wrong with them trying to protect their citizens from suicide bombers, IMHO

Agreed - BUT as I know the region very well I can tell you that it is most difficult.
I try my best to avoid any political argument - as this BB is perfectly professional and without any difference to ones Political orientation or Ethnic Background.
As I see the conflict between Israel and Palestine. I think that both Sides should Accept Each other presence and right for the land. Both Has to sit and negotiate without interference of Other governance. Both Has to understand that mutually Sheding blood does not contribute in any way to peace.
The Palestian Has a right to their own country in a legitimate and logical territory. Israel Should Evacuate ALL The settelments. The Palestinian Terror Organiztions has to be Nutralized. There will be a fence (wall or landmine) between the two countries. No Israeli in Palestine and No Palestinian in Israel - Until normalization is reached.
This is my two cents about this bloody conflict.
All Well,
Gabriel
