Adding Text to Avi files/videos

Dear All,
I want to add text to my captured videos/avi files created out of my camera will some one please guide and advise me is there any software which could be used to add suitable texts to these files.

There are loads of packages to do this. If you have XP windows movie maker 2 does. What windows do you have?

I have made the movie thanks for the same. I want to know can this window`s movie now saved on the cd could be converted into VCD

Movie maker has the settings to make vcd and burning programs like nero have an automated conversion into vcd format.
