Hi All,

Have a computer in that all is working great...however, when accessing the "Add/Remove Programs" through "Control Panel". I get the following error when I click on the "Add/Remove Windows Components"

Setup library fp40ext.dll could not be loaded, or function FrontPage4Extentions could not be found.
Contact your system administrator. The specific error code is 0x7e.

Best as I can tell....it has something to do with USB. But I am probably wrong. Any help would be apreciated.

Front page extensions? That's to do with web pages!

it is found in sysoc.inf (http://www.uninets.net/~blaisdel/whistler6.htm#Show%20all%20Windows%20Components) Or should be!

Assuming that this error message is similar (http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBQ/tip8200/rh8213.htm) You need to ensure that the %systemroot% is changed to c:\windows or c:\winnt depending on which os....if you follow my drift here.

OK,
The OS is WinXP Home (Service Pack 1). The fp40ext.dll is located in two folders on C:\

C:\Windows\System32\Setup

and

C:\Windows\SevicePackFiles\i386 (version 4.0.2.6513)

I am unclear as to what it is that needs to be done.

It should also appear here C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$

I suggest you download the network (ie full) version of SP1 and reinstall it.
