I have mandrake 10.0
I have a netgear wireless router mr810v2
I have a wireless card on my desktop dwl 520e

I have follow some advice in some forums but still can't get it going.

downloaded kernel source
downloaded firmware
made a directory /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware
renamed file 1.0.4.3.arm to isl3890 in firmware directory

downloaded driver into my user directory
typed "make clean modules"
typed "depmod -a"

I type ifconfig and get it receiving and tr packets from loopback I think
127.0.0.1 So, I think my drivers and firmware are ok? Is that true.

Found out with Mandrake I had to download wireless tools. I did that

Type iwconfig eth1 cssid xxxxxxx
got invailid cssid

Now I think I'm at the point where I have to load my cssid name to a file so I can connect to my router...
How is the easiest way to get this done. I'm a Linux newbie.....
I talked to Noooooo earlier and he pointed me in the right direction on the drivers. BTW THANKS AGAIN NOOOOOOOO

Just gave it up...
Since I couldn't get my wireless connection going I have just removed Mandrake from my system. Just taking up valuable disk space.

I might try it later when I have more time or the have better support for it.
I did think I could get it going this time.............
