4000 posts. And every one important.
What a change from when I first came to Windrvers looking for drivers back in '96. Most young'uns probably don't remember how hard it was back then to find drivers. The FCC id page was in my favorites.
But the world changed. Now drivers are routinely posted on the net (cept for HP).
And the political change has been staggering.
In 96 you had civil rights. If the police knocked on your door in middle of the night you could demand a warrant. Now they can take you without one.
In 96 jobs were plentiful. Real wage growth was accepted. No one dreamed that American jobs would fly away to China and India with the help of US tax dollars.
No one dreamed that a President who misled us into war would be worshipped by half the country. No one dreamed that a Presidential election could be stolen by the Supreme Court.
All in all it has been a bad last four years.
But as long as there is anyone I haven't offended yet I will continue to post. And don't worry I will get around to you all.
Bushism of the week:
Speaking at Unity 2004 a convention of minority journalists Bush was talking about the "successes" of his education policies:
"You can't read a newspaper if you can't read"
Wow. I never realized that Mr. President.
And Chris Rock with the comment of the week:
It is so difficult for black people to get ahead. A black college graduate with a c average can't even find a job. But a white one with a c average can become President. In fact one did.
