dvd movie does not play

I have done something wrong. Yesterday I was able to rip movie today the burner does not see the movie. I have windvd and instant cinema. What could have changed over night.

windows xp
benq dvd+r drive-several standard dvd"s I own. Version 4 windvd.
the drive should autoplay when it see a dvd in the driv. It does"t recognize a disk even being present in the drive.

Cheeze what happens to the icon in my computer for your dvd drive when you insert a dvd?

What ripping software did you use?

In device manager, what does it say under cd and dvd rom drives?

Do you have all the windows updates done and service pack 1 installed for xp?
