I am about to purchase a Praktica DCZ 6VR digital camera. It will be my first. Is this a good choice?

It is widely available but with little support.

Whether it is a good choice would depend on what you want from a digital camera.

The fact there are loads of places to buy it, but no decent reviews on it should make you cautious.

I can't find much at all on that make and model. What other make and models were you looking at?

Noo, I know this is an old thread and I'm reviving the ancients, but I thought that was a really good point. I started reading this portion of the forums and saw all the posts about this Praktica( 3733t spelling haha? ) and decided to search it a bit. 18 posts about this apparently horrible camera. It would seem after the first 2 or 3 posts, no one else would have bought one, especially from Ebay. Odd name, no reviews, bad spelling? Perfect recipe for crap equipment.
