This just started recently. I insert my DVD and everything works fine until it comes to a still screen. When it does this the screen turns completely black. It is only when the DVD has a still screen, when it is in motion it is fine. How can I solve this problem?
I have already tried the following: changing my resolution and updating my graphics card driver.

What dvd model? What are you using to play the dvds?
Does it happen on all of them?
Have you installed anything else? Uninstalled anything?

I have dell Inspiron2600. It happens with all my DVD's, and I have tried using both PCFriendlyDVD and Intervideowin DVD. (I believe both software came with the laptop.)
