Anyone interested in getting an advance look at World of Warcraft (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/) can now sign up for a chance to participate (http://www.fileplanet.com/) (FilePlanet subscription is no longer required) in the upcoming World of Warcraft stress test beta. The stress test beta, which will start soon after all 100,000+ test slots have been assigned, will help Blizzard evaluate World of Warcraft (http://www.blizzard.com/wow/)'s account-creation process and server performance under heavy loads. This seven-day test will be separate from the ongoing World of Warcraft closed beta test, but stress testers will have access to all of the game content that closed-beta testers are currently playing. To learn more about the upcoming stress test beta, please visit the World of Warcraft Stress Test Beta FAQ (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/stresstest-faq.shtml).

I already have a MMORPG account and strongly doubt I could justify any more time being spent on another.

That being said, I keep hearing only good things about WoW.

WoW sucks ***. I'm in the stress test, and I see absolutely nothing to differentiate it from any other MMORPG out there. Boring & not worth the time it took to DL the client. The only remotely cool thing is that Undead is one of the races in it and you can create some pretty funky characters from their stock.
