Name: Asus P4S266-VX

Motherboard Chipset: SiS650

Integrated devices: Audio, Video


If it helps the computer is a Sony Vaio PCV-RX753.

Any information or ideas for fixing this issue would be appreciated.

Welcome to windrivers slforce. Boot into safe mode. Open device manager and delete the audio controller. Reboot and see if it is now detected. You could also try the updated driver from sis: http://download.sis.com/download_step1.php?act=Search&mode=2&category=3&subcategory=82&os=4&x=15&y=6
