The driver I have for it is 5.12.1.3030, and it says it's from 7/25/2001. Anyone know how I can get an updated one?

Welcome to windrivers matty. Soundmax does not release generic drivers. The drivers are specific to your pc/motherboard and have to be obtained from the manufacturer. Please post the make/model of your computer and/or motherboard, as well as the version of windows you are running.
