NooNoo seems to be busy once again, seems she last logged on two days ago, well cant blame her, so much to do and she is one person, maybe we could put together some support for her, by helping out outside teh Lounge? Do your part to keep the forums useful.http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/thumbs.gif

That statements a bit of an inditement on some ;), some of us start with the tech queries first, before proceeding onto the wotpp'ing & 'opinion expression' which I know we all like (well mostly)..

Just to clear up the 'where's Noo question' on her behalf, she's just started back at Uni which started with a 'bang' (her word not mine, so if your minds half as twisted as mine can be, if you want a full explanation - you ask her ! :D , but I'm sure she means she has lots to do), she's also just found herself a teaching-assistant position & another little p/t job - wtg Noo  , so she has less time for us..
(I hope she doesn't mind me revealing all this to you, or I'll be getting an ear bashing !)

But yeah remembering this is a Tech Site & being here to help, is the main purpose, is definately something worth noting ! :)

I'm fine - thanks for asking. Busy with lots of things... and no ed - I was referring to the lamentable state of education establishment planning and my temper with said lack of planning.

I waded through Cleetus the aggravator and Ya_know the aggressor... shook my head and literally walked away. I wonder if either of them are proud of their ability to stir things up for their own entertainment. Frankly, had they been in school, they would have been suspended for bullying. If I had aired my opinion, it would have just set the whole thing going again.

As my workload increases one of two things will happen. I will become short tempered and just summarily delete threads or I will walk away. Neither of which are satisfactory responses (however good that feels at the time). Perhaps a cooling off period would be in order for those who feel that it's fun to diminish others in any way.

Yes that is a direct warning or threat - whatever way you want to read it. I no longer have the time for the sound approach of getting to the bottom of the problem and trying to find a middle ground where all are equally (un)happy.

Mrs nicegal just left the building.

... she's just started back at Uni ...she's also just found herself a teaching-assistant position & another little p/t job - wtg Noo  Yeah, good for you Noo. Those "little" jobs oftentimes end up being full fledged jobs with benefits. Of course, colleges don't pay all that well, but, imo they are great jobs: helping a younger generation to learn. Hey, sounds like what you do here.http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Best of luck and wtg.http://forums.windrivers.com/images/smilies/thumbs.gif

That is cool stuff, NooNoo. I have a hunch that you are "overqualified" for much of what you are studying for, but I know you have to play the game and get the paper.

I am certain that you will flourish!

A soccer/football team in the uk called Nottiingham Forest have had to close there forum due to miss-use see the statment below thats on the HP of there website.

http://www.nottinghamforest.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Home

Official statement by Mark Arthur,
Chief Executive of Nottingham Forest Football Club

"It is with great reluctance that we have decided to close down the 'Fans Forum' section of the Nottingham Forest website as from Monday.

For some time the 'Forum' has been abused by a small minority of the 5,000 supporters who use it in a constructive and informative way on a regular basis.

We have tolerated the misuse in the hope that people behaving in a responsible way would see sense and realise the true value of the 'Forum' as an important vehicle for true Nottingham Forest supporters.

Sadly, that has not happened and it leaves the Club with no alternative but to close it down.

We are having meetings with moderators to try and come up with a formula for eliminating the contributions from those only interested in abusing the site.

Until we find a solution the site will be closed."

After reading that ur prolly thinking "this makes me care becasue", well how would u feel if one day u opened up the WD hp and saw a statment kinda like that from internet.com or scott, what will probably follow now is first far amout of grammer correction posts then the whining will begin on how something like that will never happen here, then the topic will be fully high jacket fer no reason at all.

All it takes though is a peep from internet.com to idly read some off the posts or fer scott to do the same and decide enough is enough ditch the forums and just have the paysite fer drivers and links, hopfully should not happen but its worth while just taking a step back before u reply to a post or start a thread and look at the wider picture.

It only take a few to spoil the fun of the meany.
