This is an interesting issue. I recently upgraded to XP SP2 and everything has been fine (other than the tiny annoyances that are easily fixable) until just about 2 weeks ago. My problem is that all of a sudden IE will randomly have trouble loading .gif images. Instead of showing me the image like it should it will show the anoying red x box. But if I right click and tell it to show me the picture it will. Or if I refresh it will take care of the problem for me that way too. The odd thing is that it is incredibly random about when it will and won't show the images, and what images it will and won't show. There is no rhyme or reason for it. One minute everything will be fine and then the next minute half the page will be nothing but those damn broken image link boxes. I've tweaked my IE setting from here to the moon and back, cleared my cache and cookies, reverted to my default image viewing programs, and even created an entirely new profile just to see, and yes.. I still have issues. I have found a fix for this nowhere at all and it is really starting to get annoying. Until I can find a fix I'm simply using Mozilla and problem solved, but I would relaly prefer to go back to IE. IF someone can help me, that would be so super. Thank you.
