The greatest comedian ever has passed on. :( RIP Rodney.

In honor of Rodney, I ask all the ladies here - How would you like to make $14 the hard way?

Holy crap. This is just terrible. He found many great comedians and brought them out into the limelight so the world could laugh at their jokes, Jim Carrey and Sam Kinison come to mind immediately, its sad to see him go.

A man worthy of two threads in the lounge depicting respect for his work and efforts to keep a smile on all of our faces!

RIP Rodney!

You were truly the best, and brought a smile to my face too many times to count. You will truly be missed.

Great comic. Never got old...always refreshing. Sort of the anti-Bob Hope (who was also great). Wow: what a talent.

PS
Caddyshack!!!

Well,.. in all fairness, we posted only 2 minutes apart and I did look to see if it had already been posted. :p

Anyway,.. such greatness does indeed deserve two threads I think. :)

I like the fact that Rodney gave back to the comic community. His shows on HBO in the mid 1980s brought us Roseanne, Sam Kinison, and several others who have all become household names.

He had my respect all along.

No. Just based on what you "said" to the chef, I thought you "knew" him or somethng. The muppet comments and all. Whatever. My mistake. Welcome to the lounge fx.

For him I would. I just loved him (I also felt so sorry for him when I was a kid and I first saw him on the Ed Sullivan show)
